Come with me to the planet of liquid skies

The rest of the week that Fran was here! Better late than never!
Well, since the prices of alcohol in Norway are criminal by law, she had brought us a few gifts from Great Britain!
A bottle of Vodka, a dark rum, a fucking Jack Daniels and this...

I know I kinda missed the bottle (it's not easy taking a self-portrait), but it's a bottle of Malibu! My new boom from the last time I went to Japan. ALMOST as good as Moscow Mule. Almost.
So ofcourse we wanted to all enjoy these gifts in the limited time we had left together, that concluded in intensive home partying XD
Who wants to go out in Norway anyway? 100 kr. for a beer and a selection between what we call "party sweeds" or dudes who don't brush their hair and think that they need to have beer guts to attract the oposite sex. Not to mention girls who sit in the bar chairs without their underwear and (I suspect) actually do find beer guts attractive...

In Norway I'm only really interested in drinking with my friends, and then I might as well do it at home or in the park, where the alcohol is affordable and you can pick your own music.
Well, I say this, but the only people I know who will go along with listening to both visual kei and j-emo for extensive time are Cat and Fran. That's how I conclude that we are not losers, even though it was only the three of us getting drunk.
Call me sad if you must, I was happy then XD

But, ofcourse we wanted treats with our splishy-splashy, so we decided to go into Oslo!

We also visited a fabric store where Cat wanted to look for fabric for trousers and I picked up lace for my skirt, that Fran made for me. Bless the people who can sew.
I was all out of clothes by then, so I had to borrow from Cat.

I look like an emo-scene-something XD
But I guess it suits my taste in music lately.
Las Vegas and Fear from the Hate 4 evah! Yeah yeah. Yeah yeah yeah!

Ok, that's enough.

But not quite! Check out my emo-shoes XDXD

with calf-socks, they were like the only clean pieces of clothes I had left :p
I also discovered Nyancat this week.
(Blogger is being a bith about putting photoes in the centre, this new system is bugged as shit!)
Anyway, this is where I put a link to Nyancat in my Norwegian blog, I... realize that's very unessescary. The thing is, she makes me really happy! Seriously, I can put on the 3 hour version, plug in my earphones and drown put Tour de France on TV. Works perfect for me!

But we were talking about treats!
Fran loves baking and she's really good at it too. We had no objections!
She also likes to do dishes, the perfect housewife. Once, she cleaned the whole kitchen counter at my dads place, that's not for the faint hearted!

While the cake was in the oven, splishy-splashy :D

Cat's good at mixing drinks. What am I good at?
What's my stupid social talent? D:

Waiting, waiting. Taking it out, checking, back in.
Cooling off while baking another one, then icing, then ...

Whoopdidoo!
There was one carrot cake and one coffee cake.
The carrot cake was my favourite, it had nuts! I love nuts!
Trollfaces...

I hope we didn't bother Jack too much. She's very sensitive to sound when she sleeps, and she had to go to bed early 'cause she's actually got a real proper job.
Us, we stayed up and looked at old back numbers of SHOXX and Fools Mate. Recepie for desperation. Fran, I hope you don't think less of me after the way I (vaguely remember I) drooled over Kazutake, and also please forget those photoes on my computer of ex... ex-whatevers XD

The next day we went to do something very cultural, and go have a barbecue in the park, like Oslo-people like to do in the summer.
The weather was almost with us!
This was taken during one of the good periods.
Jack and Julie also joined us after work, I hope we weren't too annoying, we'd been drinking for a few hours when they got there XD

That week was a major stray from the path, but sometimes you have to go all out.

She looks tired, but at least she had a lot less to carry than when she came.

Bye bye, Fran, hope to see you soon!
It would be awsome if you could come visit us in Japan!

In search of the local Erotic Boutique

So yes, long time since I posted anything except the comic, I know.
Last week, my friend Kimmie came to visit, and we had an unhealthy few days, staying in most of the time and eating sweets, which I usually try not to eat during the week.
Waffles by my dad. They're awsome, especially on a cold winters night.
The one day we did go out, we were actually only going to the big supermarked in town, but then Kimmie insisted he's find the local sex shop, 'cause he wants to buy some japanese rope-nonsense, which is apparently "an art" Not just bondage". Whatever.
Last week kind of reminded me of how strange Norwegians often think the Japanese are. I mean, Japan IS strange. It still is to me too, but not in the way that we're led to believe over here.
Anyway, I'd never seen a sex shop in our town, and we couldn't find it either. Kimmie even went in to a hair salon and asked directions XD I hid outside, the whole thing reminded me of an episode from Osaka this Christmas, but I don't think you guys want to hear about that :p
Seems there was no sex shop (I'm sorry, erotic boutique) in town after all, but we'd walked all the way up to the theatre, so Kimmie offered topay for a movie ticket (I am really broke), and we ended up seeing the Grit.
I'd seen it reviewed on TV a few days earlier, and it seemes cool. And it was! I'm actually not a fan of the Cohens, some of their movies just don't take it all the way to the hype, but I really liked this one! Except the ending maybe, which was a bit of an anticlimax, but I'm not going to say more about it, 'cause I think everyone should go see it!
Kimmie, from when we hung out at the supermarked, waiting for the movie to start. His face looks so sreious here, but he's really not that kind of guy XD
I'm sure it's old news, but I had no idea you could buy Duff beer now f^^;
On our way home we encountered an ice sculpture of sorts... Yes.

And then there was the home made banana split, no wonder my trousers feel tighter this week O__O
Anyway, it was really nice having someone to talk to and not be alone and isolated in my office all the time. We saw almost everything I have of animé, some of it I havn't watched for years! Not EVA though, it still makes me miss Nuts. And most of my other movies as well.
The thing about my friend here though, is that he's like a 14 year old in his head. I'm not joking, and I'm not exagerating either. I'm just fascinated (and sometimes annoyed) at how he can ... NOT KNOW all the things he doesn't know, and how he's very unreflected on a lot of things that comes completely natural to most other people I know. Makes me realize how much I actually got out of high school!

Well, I did get a lot of comicing done, and I also made this:
It's a drawing I've been thinking about for a while, and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
I now only have eight drawings left before I've finished my quota for the exhibit in May :D

This week I borrowed my dads debit card (no, seriously, he just lent it to me) and went into Oslo. This is how poor I am, look:
I've had to mend my tights in several places. Ok, both knees, 'cause I fell down those stairs at the train station in Osaka XD
I didn't go to crazy with the card, 'cause I know my dad will give me money for any reasonable needs I have, if I can just make myself ask, but I did treat myself to food, and some money for saving and a 7-day travel pass, so this week I'll be moving around!
This is what our house looks like right now. The wether is crazy! Hot-cold-hot-cold. The snow is coming down the roof every time, it's a miracle it hasn't come down on anybodys head yet!
Even if everything outside is covered in white though, I think this weather kinda gives a tingle of spring. I mean, very soon everything's going to be sloshy and discusting, and after that we'll actually be able to see the sphalt again!
I really can't wait for spring ^^

On another note, I tried to dye my hair brown the other day. How hard can it be right?
I don't know if it's because my hair is so fucked up(it really is!) or because the dye was so old (it really was!) or maybe it's just because I've got tons of bad karma (seriously, tons!), but it kinda turned... red... or orange...
I havn't been this colours since I was a little mall goth, hanging out at the manga store and trading Pokemon cards XD I don't hate red hair though, but I don't think it's for me. It doesn't go well with pink and just generally doesn't suit my style. I guess it's fitting then, that I'm in this huge identity crisis right now.
Yesterdays outfit (the one in the picture with that gourgious smile on my face ^^;) was supposed to be oshare kei, but I soon realized I looked more like a circus gyaruo XD
ハロ。どこ行くの?ちょっと遊ばない?ご飯でも行かない?

サーカスに連れて行くぜ。

Love and peace out, I've got a traveling pass to make use of XD

Wildcats

Yesterday I spent all day making this:
It's an idea I've had for a while, inspired by the fact that every decent (or I guess that would be indecent) gyaruo have leopard print underwear XD The leaopard print part is fabric, the rest is coloured in Copic markers. I don't know why I suddenly had the urge to use them, 'cause I thought I really sucked at it. Anyway, it turned out quite nice, even though I still have a lot of practice to do.
I had a very limited selection of markers:
Bought these a while ago, in Japan, and havn't used them much since. Now I'm seriously considering investing in a few essentials, like red and grey, and get serious about that practice, 'cause I just had so much fun!

On V-day it was my dads B-day, so I decided to bake him a cake.
Banana cake. Haha, poor banana.
Turned out really good, even though it's been a while since I've baked anything, and I've never been particularily good at it. But that's another thing that I love doing, so I have gotten a lot of practice :D

I've been getting various interesting mail from abroad lately, but when I got one from Peking University yesterday I was very very puzzled. Then I got really happy, 'cause it turned out of was from my friend Julie, in China (stealing stationary much?XD)
It was a Chinese Newyears letter, with a chineez moneyz and a super cute Year-of-the-bunny envelope. That one I'm gonna put on my wall. I can't wait 'till she comes home!

I also went to my comicing circle on Monday, even though it was freezing cold outside. I've decided to make a real comitment to it, sort of as practice? I havn't been late once since I came back from Japan.
Yeah... It's only a fase, I swear.
Cold weather calls for wrapping up.

I decided today was gonna be my day off, kinda. Since I'm kind of exhausted from yesterday. Can't guarantee I won't end up drawing anyway though :p
I'm trying to make myself do that damn phone call anyway. And then I'm going to meet Cat in Oslo.
Have a nice day, everyone.

It's that time again...

It's time to go back home, the last two days have been kind of stressfull. Cat bought a bag to fit all her stuff...

...and herself in. I got to use her beaten up suitcase as a post package to mail the stuff I can't carry to the airport. No guy to carry the luggage to the airport, it's kind of wierd... I know someone I wish would come but we're not on that level... and I can imagine the face he'd make under the weight of my bag would break my heart completely XD
Here we are in the process of packing, this morning.

Actually, the room has looked kind of like this all the time we've been here. I'm so glad the girls we live with arn't uptight^^;

When we finally decided we needed a break for breakfast it was Dotour again. This time we hit the big one and bought cake!

It's pumpkin tart! Ok, honestly we've been snacking like pigs all week, but we're feeling so sorry for ourselves XD Three months in Japan is too short...

Cat, looking sad. Actually I've noticed she always looks kind of sad, or like she's not happy with her food, even when she is. I just noticed recently :p Oh well, I love her anyway!

Did some drawing at the cafe as well. We've been arting quite alot lately, so when I got home I'll post some of the pictures I've made. Putting your heart on the brink kind of gives you inspiration ^^
Also, I'll post more about the final days in Japan when I get back (and possably after the Mucc-live, depends on how jet lagged I am when I get home). Really need to go to bed now!

Our final meal in Japan was, naturally, idian :D This has got to be the biggest naan bread I've ever seen! I had to call it quits after two thirds, and that NEVER happens.
Anyway, we're leaving a lot of stuff behind, for the girls in our room and possably new guests to enjoy.
Handsoap
Toothpaste
candy
couch pills
stuff for cleaning wounds(and piercings)
Shanpoo
Conditionar
Hair removal products
Mild soap

everything us sleezy party girls need XD

Going back

So, two days ago I was finally off to Japan.
My mom gave me a ride to Oslo airport, and since I was stopping at London Heathrow she graced me with left over pounds from her last trip to England. It was like 50 pounds!
The flight to Heathrow was kind of horrible. There was so much turbulence I actually felt the fear of death creeping up on for real. And (not that it's comparable) the couple in the seat in front of me couldn't keep it in their pants.
I'm all for public display of affection if it means holding hands or sleeping on shoulders or maybe a peck now and then on the lips or the forehead, but when you're strapped into a seat, practically n top of people, you can keep yourself from loud slurpy open mouth kissing for the roughly two hours from Oslo to London. Just saying.
When I got to Heathrow I put my money to use. For some reason they don't seem to have trolleys there anymore, wich made my shopping a bit of a pain because my hand luggage was humongus! But after wandering back and forth and trying out different things I decided to go for a MAC concealer and Royal Desire, by Christina Aguilera. I hadn't brought perfume, becuse I was planning to buy it at the tax free. There were lots of other candidates, but I really like this one! It smells really nice, and the bottle is cute too. Not to mention it was one of the most affordable ones I found. And it's perfume, not au de toilette.
Also got something to eat and sat down to wait. Fortunately my plane to Tokyo was leaving from the same terminal as I had landed on.
The trip to Tokyo was less eventfull, luckily. We were circling on the ground for like an hour, and when we finally got in the air the entertainment systems didn't work at first, but I was so tired from my last few days of stress in Norway that I slept through most of this.
Then I watched Almost Famous (which I liked better than the first time I saw it) and Pocahontas (my god I forgot how great cartoons used to be! I laughed and cried like an idiot XD) and Indespicable me (which was actually really funny, I loved it).
The food wasn't much to sing about, but the dessert was delish!
Vanilla creme brule, halleluya O.O
Landing at Narita Airport I felt kind of lost. For the first time there wouldn't be anyone to greet me, because Tomo had gotten the dates wrong and couldn't come on the 3rd. So I wheeled my trolley out in the arrival hall, not sure where to start on getting back to life in Japan, when suddenly I heard my name.
At first I thught I was dreaming, but when I turned around, there was Mario! The guitarist from our band. Very much blonder than the last time I saw him XD
I was so happy I almost cried, seriously!
lol.
We found an ATM, something to eat and went to a Softbank store to get the phone working. I'd borrowed Jacks prepaid one, and I have never used a prepaid before, or a Softbank. Then we got on the train back towards Chiba.
I didn't have time to write about it, but Sana, who I was supposed to live with, actually cancelled on me two days before my leaving Oslo. She's doing the stupid work programme, and apparrently got in a huge fight with her boyfriend who wanted her to concentrate more on that and everything. I always had a back-up plan, because Tomo offered me to live at his place. Tomo is my ex-boyfriend, so I didn't really want to take him up on it, but intil futher notice, that is my adress.
Mario carried my bag, thank god, it was 13 kilos wich according to Ciliee isn't very heavy, but it is to me ok?XD and he helped me get a taxi from Hon Chiba station, and even paid. He really didn't have to do that I', filthy stinking rich at the moment, because my parents are just way too nice to me.
And here I am. Back in Japan.

Ghost Walk

This week-end has been packed full of birthdays! Could be worse, right?
I decided to split up the blogging, because each birhday-girl deserves their own, right.
On Friday was my friend Jacks party.
This is the drawing for the card I made for her.

Since she's turning half a century she wanted to take the birthday party experience one step futher, and started up with a "ghost walk" in the streets of Oslo.
I was working until five, but called in some favours and got to leave early, so I was there just on time (to me that would mean "not that late"). And they all laughed at me because I was wearing hot pants... let me just mention that my tights were 80% wool!

We're not far enough into winter for it to really be dark at five yet, so the whole thing wasn't all that scary, but it was both entertaining and educational.
Amongst other things I learned that there was a real mass grave (I don't know what you call it in english? When you throw lots of people anonymously into one grave) right here in Oslo, from Napoleons time. And also, I learned that Oslo, back when it was called Christiania, was a safe shore for a group of pirates who had been given the right to plunder by some high and mighty dude. Just like Tortuga!

But most of the tour was, of course, inside Akershus Festning (the fortress of Oslo).
The old fortress is really a very beautiful place, and in summer we often gather here for picknics or barbeques. It is also perfect for romantic (and slightly dangerous) walks, and has an amazing wiev over the Oslo fjord (which, by the way isn't a real fjord, but part of the ocean XD).
But! As it is ancient, not to mention an old place of war, it is also widely known for being haunted.
Here we are on the bridge, leading in to the fortress.
And here's a guard, giving his phone number to some random guy XD
This is, believe it or not, the old entrence to the fortress. This tiny opening was the only way in!
I should have had a picture from the other side, because the door leads out into nothing now, and it looks kinda funny ^^
My friends, looking kinda nervous. I don't think they really were though, just curious.
And here's a picture of Norway by fall. It is really breathtakingly beautiful outside now. I wonder if the autumn always looked like this and I jsut never realized. Maybe my eyes have matured.
And here's the group, gathered in the place that is said to be the spot of the execution of Norways most famous traitor from World War II. The place have been kept secret for a very long time, because they didn't want nazis scum to make this into some kind of holy place. The tourleader had heard from an old man who came on the Ghost Walk once, and that man had actually served here during the war! I guess it's ok to say now though... maybe. I didn't mention it in my norwegian blog.

I always thought that the Fortress was the most haunted place in Oslo, but aparrently that's not true.
The end of the Ghost walk lead us to this hotel:
Grims Grenka, in case you ever want to go to Oslo and live in a haunted house XD
So many wierd things are said to have happened here, and the ghoswalk-dude, who was actually a real ghost enthusiast (I've heard him on the radio once) had done intervjues with old staff members and stuff. One person told him that this hotel had once changed the ENTIRE staff in one year, because nobody could stand working there!
He also told us about things that he had experienced in there, because earlier they had actually been allowed to take the Ghostwalk into the hotel!
I'm kinda bummed out and kinda happy that we couldn't go in anymore.

Even though it had been fun I think we were all happy when we could finally head for the restaurant, 'cause we were all very cold and very hungry.
On the way we saw this in a gallery. You can't really tell, but it's made out of the bags from cardboard wine XD If my mom ever gets married again I have to recomend this as her weddingdress XD She's like the goddess of red wine.
This is Ciliee, as always reluctant to having her picture taken XD

We were going to a restaurant called Lemongrass. When I've seen it from the outside I've always thought it was an expencive café, but it's a carrabean restaurant. I've never had carrabean food before, but since we were about fifteen people, Jack had sent us the meny the week before so we could order ahed.
First of all Cilliee and I got a lot of questions about our fancy drinks...
which were actually water. They let us keep the pre-order waterglasses, so we could feel more like grown-ups.
My dish was called Nut Chicken.
This picture was taken before I got my coconut milk. I'll forgive them for forgetting it, because it was obviously a very busy night, and all the girls around me also got the same dish. Except for Cilliee, who's got a very nasty allergy to nuts. She'd really picked the perfect place to sit XD
Also, out waitress was so sweet! And she apologized again and again for the slip up.
The food was delish! Only bad thing I could say about this restaurant is that they were very slow with the food. Even though we'd ordered ahed it took like an hour before we got our apetizers...

After a while we could skooch up the table to sit with Cat and Jack and Oda and Julie. And order dessert.
And Jack got her birfday-cake :D
This was my non-birfday cake^^
It's coconut sorbet with frozen chocolate, or Coco Choco. I even ate the cocktail berry, I've never eaten a cocktail berry before.
Coconut is so mai buumu.
Before we left I also had to get a picture of this:
Is that not the most amazing chandelear ever!?
The place was generally very my cup of tea. We even had big heavy princess chairs to sit in at the table^^
