Stressful days

Yesterday my friend Jack and I went to a photo session. She had gotten an invite, and was asked to bring one friend for free styling and photographing.
I'm not very good with these things, I do take my own picture in the mirror all the time, but it's different when I'm only grinning at myself. But I need practice.
This was such an akward position, but actually turned out one of the best photoes. Now I just have to make my dad believe he's paying for my student loan when he pays the bill. Very very clever way of earning money, I have to say f^^

I was goint to Tegnekveld (the weekly meeting of comicers in Oslo), but turns out I'd forgotten to bring the comic I was working on, so we just went home to Jacks place and watched Harpers Island, when we weren't reading the news ofcourse.
After that I went to my moms place. Her boyfriend is away, though he's there in spirit:
He's from Iceland XD
Anyway, I'm here for a couple of days.

Today has been somehow stressing.
I feel tired, though I'm not sure why.
Ofcourse the whole thing that's happening in Japan is effecting me a lot. It was a shock to suddenly wake up to this, and I had a frantic couple of hours trying to get a hold of all my friends to find out if they were alive. The details were still very unclear then and I had no idea what had hit where or anything. I was told that cell phones were out of service a lot of places.
I heard from Sayaka, who could use the internet, and she also told me Mina was allright, though alone and kind of frantic. Couldn't get hold of Kibby, but after he finally came home. He'd had to walk, 'cause trains were not moving and his cell was out of service.
Also heard from my Norwegian friends, they were shook, but not hurt. Chris was already in an internet interview in the net news.
Some people answered on mixi, 'cause their phones were out but aparrently computers were working (this was after the main quake). I couldn't get a hold of Tomo, and when I called him I got an engaged signal, so I thought he was dead for sure for like three hours!
Togane, where our school is, is quite close to the ocean, we went there on our bikes the first summer we were there. The beach is really beautiful, and then me and a girl in my class nearly drowned. It's a place for surfing, the current is too strong for bathing, really.
Luckily, Tomo was allright too. He was cooped up at school, and he said there was "lots of water" but aparrently not inside or anything.
They had to stay there all night and sing cumbaya though, 'cause the trains weren't moving.
Uncle D told me Okinawa hadn't been affected at all, so no worrying for them. He also got in contact with the people from Rowthe, and it seems they were allright.
And finally Nuts answered me. He seemed to take things surprisingly chill, but then he always seems chilla bout everything.

There's nothing chill about the situation right now though. Chiba and Tokyo seems to be pretty safe from shaking and waves, and it's good to know that my friends won't be crushed by debris anytime soon, but it doesn't change the fact that people in the north are fighting for their lives. I also know some people who have family in the north.
I havn't been able to watch any of the videos, 'cause it really effects me a lot more than I had expected it to. I've always though I loved the people and the fun things, but really deep down I kind of hated the country. But seeing it being crushed to bits really digs me out inside...
Also, ofcourse, the nuclear threat goes for the entire country... I just have nothing to say about that, there is nothing to say right now.

Also, it's very stressing with all the negativity towards people who show support who are not "qualified" to. I know none of these things have been directed at me, since I've got so many personal ties in Japan, but as someone who has those ties I just wish everyone welcome right now. I've written more about this before, and I'm just not going to waste any more energy on it right now.

Also, I know it's ironically popular to be politically incorrect these days, but this is not ok to joke about yet. Humor is a good thing, but it is all about timing, and now is NOT the time.

For something completely different, here are a few of the pictures I did for a quarter piece for my brothers restaurant.

He wanted simple, so I tried it out. Not my strongest side, after all, but I'm quite happy^^
The scribbles are from the lyrics of the song Generation by 12012. It's really like a "new millenia" new year song, though it was out in like... 2008? :p
And this is where I post a youtube link, only I can't really find it. It's only an album track and not a single f^^;

I am a material girl

First of all, this lives in our apartment...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
It's huge. It's like a fucking baby tarantula! I have never seen a wild spider this huge, not inside anyway! At first I thought it was a Halloween decoration, but then it moved.
My.God. ...
Ahm, not really related, I had kind of a scattered Saturday. I would have wanted to go to Togane to hang with my friend Petter who'd come over from Osaka, but had already promised Tomo to hang out. We were supposed to have a studio session, only we hadn't booked ahed so there was nothing free on a Saturday.
I was kind of happy about that, 'cause I really wasn't in the mood for an accustic session. We play punk! There doesn't seem to be much point in going in just the two of us without the band.
So instead we went to a Starbucks, 'cause I hadn't had a cup of tea for days. Seriously!
And we also went to my favourite pasta restaurant, I think it's called Gokon.
I know it looks kind of green and yucky, but it's really just amazingly delicious!
Happeeeeeee....^^
We hung around in Chiba for a while, and went to PARCO to see our friend Shun, who'd just gotten a job at a clothing store. He has to dress like a gyruo for work, it' really funny. Though I actually have to say he looks really handsome. Business was really slow that day though, and he didn't have enough money for the train back XD He's a bit too impulsive for his own good I think.

After talking to Shun we went to the top floor where Tomo went to a guitar shop, and I went to TOWER RECORDS.
Found this poster:
I kind of want one^^
And I bought this:
Small picture :p it's Nieche Syndrome byt ONE OK ROCK.
Tomo and also his brother, who had invited himself to Tomos apartment that day, could not understand for the life of them, why I'd bought a cd that was already in my iPod.
I like cds, ok? I like owning^^
Then we went to karaoke, and now my throut hurts. I'm fearing it's not just the singing... damn.
Anyway, here's a little drop of sugar from Nieche Syndrome, Jibun Rock:

I wanna dance with somebody

So on Friday I went to an izakaya (that's like a drinking place where the food is just as important) with my friends Mina and Sayaka, who I hadn't seen in forever. The last time I was in Japan I had just started seeing a new guy and wasn't exactly sure what to tell them, so I didn't contact them. I've decided to take better care of my girl-girl relationships, after all, friendships are frever.
Oops, blurry :P
Which is ironic, 'cause this one's without alcohol. We just all had to have one of these 'cause they were amazing!
It was so nice seeing Sayaka and Mina again! Who sais you can't have real girl talk with japanese girls? They're not as blank and boring as some people think.
I had forgotten how funny Sayakas personallity is, she just blurts out what she's thinking, and she gets so excited about thingsXD
And Mina sais it's ok fr me to stay at her place, which is good, because staying with Tomo is just... not a good idea.
I asked her that she'd ask her boyfriend, Ryo first though, even though he doesn't live there with her now. I hope it's ok, she hasn't contacted me yet...
From the izakaya.
Mina was getting up early the next morning, and Sayaka really had a cold (though you really couldn't tell) so we couldn't stay all night. Even so, we ended it all just a little bit too late for me to catch a train to Tokyo.
Michelle and some of the kouhais had invited me to a club that same night, and I really wanted to go. I love dancing! I want t dance! And... to be blunt I really want to hook up with someone. There are SO many attractive men here compared to Norway XD
But yeah, so I called Tomo, and he was just on his way out f the house and said he'd come pick me up on his way to T.A.T.s house. I love that he has a car now ^^
T.A.T. is Tomos rapper friend from school, and Tomo was coming over to dye his hair. He had apparently failed to tell him I was coming along because when we got there he was in the showerXD
I turned my back when he came out though, and apparrently he'd brought his shorts in to the bath room 'cause he'd put them on when he came back out. Poor guy XDXD

His hair is getting really thin at the top, even though he's only like 22-23, but he still insists on coloring his hair. Only a light shade of brown though, so no heavy shit, but even so, Tomo and were pretty excited to see if his hair had fallen off when he'd washed the color out.
Luckily it was still there, but the strands of his hair are so thin it's amazing. Even though he's asian! Well, half asian, I think. He looks very japanese anyway.

Oh, and apparently they had a tradition at the izakaya we were at, that the ladies always got a flower when they left.
I love flowers!

Oh Billy Brown, you are a victim of the times

mixi: "You have 1 new message from..." the name seems completely Chinese to me, but it's someone who isn't yet on my friends list. So I check the profile, and more importantly, user pic...
My inner creepy uncle goes: "Well, hello there, little fellow, are you lost? hurrhurrhurr".
Time to read the message:

"Ingeruuuuuuu! You remember me?
It's Azusa from the keion-bu (music club) at JIU!"

Oh, of course it is XDXD
It has to be said, in my defence, that she's actually so androgynous in real life as well, that until I heard her voice I referred to her as "that" for months. No intended offence, but I just couldn't be sure wether "that" was a girl or a really small dude^^
Aparrently we've spoken, at the Club activity presentation last year. Can't have been a long conversation, 'cause I don't even remember, but she does! And she wants to be boddies! SHE just hasn't had the courage to approach ME until now...
Yes, please! Let's be buddies, you adorable little human. Maybe she has a brother XD

In other good news I got another mail from someone I couldn't quite place the other day. Sana, that I met at our concert at ZX, who's also a JIU student. And guess what! Out of the blue she just suggests that I can come stay at her messy little apartment while I'm in Japan!
I love messy little apartments and Sana! Hooray for her!
I should probably still try to move around a bit though, 'cause she has a room mate and maybe I can't be in her apartment when she's not there and the gass in the kitchen doesn't work... I guess it's a bit much for her if I stay for two months. But it's great to have something settled, what with only 3 weeks until I go ^^
Also, it seems Tomo will skip clean-up day at school to come meet me at the airport.
